What Mr.Contractor is. Mr.Contractor (operated by R3LAB Inc.) is a renovation marketplace. We set the rate card, verify crew credentials, generate the paperwork, and release milestone payments on your approval. We are not a general contractor and we do not perform renovation work.

Who you hire. Your renovation agreement is directly between you and the independent crew that accepts your job. The crew is responsible for the work, its quality, permits it pulls, and its warranty. Before any crew can take jobs on the platform we verify their trade licences, insurance certificate, and WSIB clearance — and we re-check them periodically.

Estimates vs. locked prices.Instant estimates are honest math on your answers, but they are not binding on anyone. Your price locks after the crew's site check — from then on it changes only by a written change order you approve first.

Money. The site check is free — nothing is due before it. The 10% deposit is asked only after the visit locks your price in writing, and it is refundable until the first crew accepts your job. After that, payments are released per milestone — each one only after you approve the work in your project room (or 48 hours pass without objection). The final 5% releases after your walkthrough. Crews pay the platform a partner fee; you never pay a markup.

If something goes wrong.Raise it in your project room — unresolved milestones don't get paid. We will help mediate, re-dispatch a replacement crew where possible, and a crew's conduct affects its standing on the platform. Claims about workmanship are between you and the crew under your agreement with them; we'll hand you every record we hold (photos, approvals, change orders) to support it.

Your photos and answers are used to price, plan, and document your project, and are shared only with the crew working on it.

Cancelling: before a crew accepts, your deposit comes back in full. After work starts, approved milestones and materials already ordered are payable; nothing else is.
