After the visit your price is locked: it changes only by written change orders you sign off first.

Only after the visit — with the fixed price in front of you — does money move. The 10% deposit books the build and is refundable until the first crew accepts. Job cards go out to licensed, insured, WSIB-verified crews on the platform — the first to tap takes the job at the rate-card price. You see exactly who accepted, with their credentials and platform record.
Milestones, photos, sign-off
Work is split into milestones, each with its own price from the rate card. The crew submits each one with photos; you approve from your project room — and payment releases only when you do (or 48 hours pass without objection). Weekly photo updates keep you in the loop, and the final 5% releases after YOUR walkthrough.

Is Mr.Contractor a contractor?
No — Mr.Contractor is a renovation marketplace. Your renovation agreement is directly with the independent licensed crew that accepts your job. The platform verifies crew credentials (licence, insurance, WSIB), generates the paperwork, documents everything in your project room, and releases milestone payments only on your approval. Crews do and warrant the work.
Are the prices real?
Yes — they render live from the same rate card crews are paid on, identical for every customer. The instant estimate starts at ±30% and tightens to ±8% as you answer; the crew’s one site check locks it. No markup is added on top: crews pay the platform a partner fee.
How fast can work start?
Site checks book within days — free, before any payment. Crews typically accept within 24–48 hours of your deposit, and starts run as soon as 2–3 weeks out. Small jobs move faster.

What if something goes wrong mid-project?
Raise it in your project room — unapproved milestones don’t get paid, which keeps everyone honest. The platform helps mediate, can re-dispatch a replacement crew where possible, and hands you every record it holds (photos, approvals, change orders). A crew’s conduct affects its standing on the platform.
What do I pay Mr.Contractor?
Nothing on top. You pay trade-level prices per passed milestone; crews get pre-scoped jobs and pay the platform a partner fee. You never pay a markup.
